He started racing at age 5 progressing along until finally making the leap to full time NASCAR racing in 1993 and finishing as the Rookie of the Year.
In 1998, he tied Richard Petty's record of 13 wins in one season. It was also his 3rd season in a row with at least 10 wins.
Over his career he has won more than 80 races and collected more than $65 million in earning. He has also finished the season ranked #1 on 4 occasions.
